Jesse Williams will undergo kidney surgery this Thursday, May 28 – 10 days after the Seahawks announced the defensive tackle had been diagnosed with Papillary Type 2 cancer.

Seattle head coach Pete Carroll revealed the date of Williams’ upcoming procedure following his team’s first Organized Team Activity, held Tuesday at Renton’s Virginia Mason Athletic Center.

His attitude is good,” Carroll said of the 24-year-old Williams. “It’s been a hard couple weeks since he got the news, but now that it’s coming to game time he’s ready to go. Talked about bouncing back quickly and getting back on his feet and going again. I wouldn’t expect anything less from Jesse. ”

We wish Jesse all the best with his recovery, Williams has suffered constant injury problems throughout his career at the Seahawks and at Alabama.

There is no time table as to when Williams may return this will be a day by day recovery for the Monstar.
