There are multiple reports (Report OneTwo & Three) coming out of the USA that the Baylor is looking to play its 2016 opening game in Australia.

The Cal Bears are named as the most likely opponent at this stage but Baylor also have a non-conference slate (according to philsteele.com) that is currently set as games against Northwestern St, SMU & Rice for 2016. Looking at those teams we should all be hoping that it will be Cal.

Baylor AD Ian McCaw said in an ESPN radio interview on Tuesday that the Bears had made a proposal to play the 2016 season opener overseas.

Australia is one of a number of overseas locations that Baylor are considering so at this stage a city in Australia has not been selected to play that game. With the Bears currently having two Australian players on their roster, brothers Blake (pictured) and Sean Muir who hail from Sydney the game might end up ANZ stadium.

It would be a dream to see two college football games in Australia in 2016 but we will wait and see if one or two come to our shores.
