On Saturday the division one semi finals were played to decide who would play off for the Gridiron Victoria VIC BOWL XXXI championship.

In the first semi final Croydon Rangers defeated the Geelong Buccaneers 21-20 in a game that went down to the wire, but the best way yet to come. In the second semi final current champions the Monash Warriors were down by two touchdowns to the Western Crusaders going into the final quarter.

The Warriors with a never say die attitude the Warriors forced turnovers deep in the Crusaders own half and got the two touchdowns needed to take out the win.

VIC BOWL XXXI will see the Warriors take on the Rangers who last met in the big game in 2009.

On Sunday the division two semi finals were played and their was an upset when minor premiers the Bendigo Dragons were defeated by the Pakenham Silverbacks 16-12. In the other semi final the Monash Barbarians defeated the Northern Raiders 10-6 to advance to the championship game.
