Gridiron Tasmania have announced a Junior Open Day and Training to take place this Sunday the 13th of September at the Rugby Park in Cornelian Bay, you can learn more about the event on the Gridiron Tasmania Facebook page.

Australian U19’s Head Coach Luke Chapman has confirmed his attendance and will be a support for Youth Coaching Director, Nick Atwell for this information and training session.

The event also got a kick along from The Mercury newspaper in tassie with an article written by Simeon Thomas-Wilson built around the Hayne mania will hopefully bring more people to the sport of gridiron.

Gridiron Tasmaina is the youngest competition in the country and it is fantastic to see the league looking to the future to ensure the viability of gridiron in tassie.

Good luck to Gridiron Tasmania building their junior program, a solid junior system is the life blood of any senior competition, it is much easier to get kids to fall in love with the game and stay involved then recruit adults.
