First it was a chance a Bowl Game could be in Melbourne, then the opening college game of the season in Sydney now could it be the Pro Bowl?

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that Sydney is in the mix to host the 2017 Pro Bowl which is the NFL all star game, the report also sites Melbourne as interested and Brazil being in the mix for the game.

There is very little detail in the report but some quotes from the NSW Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events and Minister for Sport, Stuart Ayres and that the announcement will be in a few weeks.

There are a few timing issues with Australia to host the game, normally the game is played so it come on at 8:00pm New York Time, this would make it Monday morning at 11am Sydney or Melbourne time. It would be hard to get a big crowed on a Monday morning to an american football game.

The big wigs will have to put their heads together and maybe move the game time to ensure a good crowed at the game. Even if this game is played on a Monday morning it is fantastic for the sport in Australia and should help to raise awareness of the sport.
