Junior Outback camp getting ready for China

The junior outback team got together with the coaching staff for a training camp in Queensland to help select the final squad that will travel to China later in the year for the IFAF under 19 world championships.

The training squad (without Victoria) qualified for the world cup thanks to a victory over New Zealand 13-7 back in July last year.

International Federation of American Football (IFAF) announced back in November that the under 19 world championships would be held in China and scheduled to be held at Harbin University of Commerce in early July and will be coordinated by AFU China and local partners.

Unfortunately this is all the information I could find on the 2016 world championships, IFAF has been going through all sorts of dramas since the congress in Canton last year with two warring factions trying to get control. It is less than 6 months until this event is meant to kick off…

I hope for the sake of players who just want to play football this event will go off without a hitch, I have a bad feeling that there will be more news to come before this event kicks off.

We wish the Outback all the best with preparations and the world championships in China.
