Griffith University Gridiron Club and Gridiron Queensland announced that Griffith will be entering a Senior Men’s Team and Women’s Team into Gridiron Queensland 2016 Season to be know as the Thunder.
Via the new teams Facebook page Griffith Uni also announced the coaching staff for the new teams:
Men’s Thunder Head Coach
Phil Crick
Men’s Thunder Assistant Head Coach/Lineman
Nigel Law
Woman’s Thunder Head Coach
Kelvin Howsan
Griffith University are now inviting applications for the following coaching roles:
- Men’s Defensive Coordinator
- Woman’s Defensive Coordinator
If you are interested in the above roles email your application to [email protected], applications will be closing on Friday 18th March 2016.
The club is located at Griffith University, Nathan Campus on Kessells Rd in Nathan. The Thunders colours will be the Griffith University colours of black, white and red, below is a mock up design of the new club jersey by GSA.
