Australian Women’s teams in Canada

The Gridiron Australia Women’s National Team has arrived in Canada ahead of the IFAF Women’s World Championship which will kick off on the 24th of June. The Women’s Outback team began training camp in preparation for the WWC on the 17th of June and it has been all systems go since then. The Outback revealed the team uniforms made by Geelong Sports Apparel during the jersey presentation and for the record GSA have done a fantastic job the uniforms look fantastic.

Gridiron Down under will have a full tournament pre-view prior to the WWC kicking off.

 

Gridiron Victoria Div 2 Kicks Off

Down south the Gridiron Victoria division 2 season kicked off with the new side Western Crusaders II team getting a impressive win over the newly created Casey Cardinia United. The Northern Raiders were also impressive taking out a win over Bendigo who they defeated in the semi final last year, but the game of the round turned out to be the Ballarat Falcons win over the Melton Wolves by just one point.

Gridiron West hosts Women’s information day

Gridiron West Women’s League is proud to have held its first women’s open day of 2017 over the weekend. The West Coast Wolverines hosted the open day and many members of Gridiron West offered their support by help out either coaching or just being apart of the day.
Good luck to the crew over in WA, lets hope we see another women’s competition starting up in 2017. If you are interested in being a part of the Gridiron West Women’s League the next open day will be the June 24th at James Miller Oval in South Perth at 9am.

 

New Team for Tasmania

Speaking of new things happening on the Gridiron Australia landscape the Northwest Coast Gridiron Team who are aiming to have a team in the 2017/18 Gridiron Tasmania competition is hosting open days.
The next open day will be held in Devonport, as well as players if you are interested in becoming an official please head on down and make yourself known as all competitions need more officials.
