Last Time they met

Stanford played host the Owls in November 2016 where they run out comfortable victors 41-17 thanks to a big day by now Carolina Panther, Christian McCaffrey who had over 250 yards all purpose and 2 touchdowns.

College Football Traditions

The Stanford band has become famous throughout college sports for its wacky demeanor, inappropriate skits, and hilarious attire. Keep an eye out for them as there is nothing traditional about them but they are well worth a look.

Watch out for the Stanford Tree, I know what you are thinking “What kind of Mascot is a tree”. Trust me when I say watch the tree…

The Rice “Marching Owl Band”, or “MOB.” Despite its name, the MOB is a scatter band which focuses on performing humorous skits and routines rather than traditional formation marching.

Both teams will be backed up by their Cheerleaders and Dance Teams.

So…. What will the outcome be?

Stanford is one of the most stable football programs in the country. As for that consistency, the 14th-ranked Stanford will try to start the 2017 regular season the same way it ended the 2016 regular season: by beating Rice.

Enjoy the Day!
