 IT’S almost time for what is undeniably the biggest event on America’s sporting calendar: Super Bowl. This year marks the 52nd edition of the big game and it is shaping up to be a blockbuster with the New England Patriots tipped to repeat last year’s success when they line up against the Philadelphia Eagles.

THE BASICS

The game itself will be played on Monday 5 February. Kickoff is estimated to be around 10:30am with play to continue to around 2:00pm (all times are in Eastern Australia Time).

Defending champions the New England Patriots will be taking on the Philadelphia Eagles in what is sure to be a thrilling game.

The venue changes annually; in 2018 Super Bowl LII will be held at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Pre-game

Former American Idol star Kelly Clarkson will be providing pre-game entertainment while Pink will really get the party started when she belts out the American National Anthem.

Halftime

Returning to the Super Bowl halftime stage for a third time is superstar Justin Timberlake . Hopefully there’ll be no wardrobe malfunctions this time around.
