Gridiron Victoria has been running a women’s football competition for 3 seasons and to celebrate this they are playing an all star game on the 5th of June.
The two teams will be names Fire and Ice, teams will be selected in a draft style by the head coaches Matthew Jenkins from Northern Lady Raiders and Jamie Stafford of the Berwick Diamonds.
It will be a full 11 a side match which is a step up from the regular season which is played as a 9 a side competition.
The game will be held at State Netball Hockey Center in Parkville on Friday the 5th of June kick off at 7pm. This game will form a part of the Gridiron Victoria Queen’s Birthday Celebration Round where the State Hockey Center will host 5 regular season games and the Womens All Star Match.
Entry will be free all weekend for fans featuring an artificial field at this world class facility, elevated seating, a bar and restaurant, live entertainment, commentators and more.
