The number of Australian’s in the NFL right now is at a record number but so is the number of Australians playing college football.
Just taking a look at the NCAA Division I FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) which is the top level of college football there are more and more Australians each year. If you then take a look at the lower divisions of college football there are even more but for right now we will take a look at the FBS schools.

Not only are these guys playing in the FBS but many are excelling like Tom Hackett who was the 2014 Ray Guy Award winner for the best punter in country. Many of these players are on watch lists for awards or have been named to all conference teams.
Probably the most pleasing thing to a fan like myself is that they are not all punters, when most Americans think of Australians playing gridiron they would think of punters but we are seeing more and more non punters making it in the US.
We will take a look at each of these players over the coming months and during the season we will let you know where you can catch them in action on TV.
I want to thank Aussies in the NCAA for providing much of the information.
