The San Francisco 49ers have placed G/T Alex Boone on Injured Reserve opening up a roster spot which they have filled with Australian running back Jarryd Hayne.
Hayne has been on the 49ers practice squad for much of the season after being cut earlier this year due to performance issues. San Francisco have had many injuries at running back in 2015 and have tried many running backs but none have worked out or have got injured themselves.
Though this time Hayne has been waiting to see if he would be called up, with only two games to go in the season I am guessing that Hayne will play in both games. I see no point in signing someone to the active roster like Hayne and not give him a go and see if he is worth bringing back in 2016.
We will have to wait until tomorrow morning to see if he will be active for week 16.
