In the day after the Superbowl the NSW Tourism department were in full swing promoting the college football opening game of the 2016 season between the Cal Bears and the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors at ANZ Stadium.
It is only 200 days until the game and about 40,000 tickets are already sold, Tourism Minister Stuart Ayres pulled out the big guns and got Jarryd Hayne to the press conference as well as new Hawaii commitment Maxwell Hendrie.

If you have not got your tickets you can do so here.
I really wish that the powers that be did not use Jarryd Hayne to promote this game… He never played college football and I can think of about 20 other people who would be a better choice than Hayne, starting with 2 times Ray Guy Award winner Tom Hackett.
That being said I also understand that Hayne will get the story on the evening news, websites and of course print media, but I don’t have to like it. ANZ Stadium will need a sell out or the event could be a flop, as a lover of football I want to see more and more football in Australia so I guess Hayne will have to do.
With the Superbowl over we step into the longest off season in sports as we now sit around for 200 days waiting for football to return to our screens.
