Via the Gridiron Australia Facebook page John Leijten has been reappointment as the Men’s National Team head coach.
Gridiron Australia are pleased to announce the reappointment of John Leijten as the Australian Outback Men’s Senior National Team Head Coach.
Coach Leijten has been leading this program successfully for the past 5 years and has taken the National Team to 2 World Championships with the 2015 World Championship being the most successful campaign in our history.
We congratulate John on his reappointment and we look forward to the continued success of the Men’s National Team moving toward the 2019 World Championships.
Leijten is also currently Head Coach of the Dresden Monarchs who play in the German Football League, in the Past he has also coached in the now de-funked NFL Europe with the Amsterdam Admirals.
We assume that Leijten will lead the Australian team when they head to Tahiti in June.
