Saturday in Reservoir saw the Gridiron Victoria womens semi finals contested.
In the first semi final the 2nd placed Geelong Buccaneers took on the 3rd placed Melton Wolves, this game would be all one way traffic with the Buccaneers controlling the game from start to finish running out easy victors 42-0.
In the second semi final the undefeated Northern Raiders played host to the fast finishing Melbourne Uni Chargers who have won their past two games to make the finals series. The game was very much a defensive dominated game with both teams unable to find the endzone in the first half of the game.
The Melbourne Uni Chargers took a 6-0 lead over the heavily favoured Raiders which was a lead that would stand for the remainder of the game ensuring the Chargers unlikely path to the Women’s Vic Bowl.
Next Saturday the Buccaneers will face off with the Chargers in Pakenham at 7pm for the Championship.
