The Gridiron Queensland season kicked off last Saturday for the Men’s and Women’s competitions, while the Colts will commence next weekend on August 20.
Both the Women’s and Men’s Gold Coast Stingray teams got their title defence off to a good start, recording convincing victories, with the Lady Ray’s putting up what has to be women’s league record 102 points in their win over the Brisbane Saints.
GQ’s newest team, the Griffith Uni Thunder, had a mixed start, with the women’s recording a win and the men’s team going down to the Rhinos.
We are desperately seeking contributors to Gridiron DownUnder for reports on the Gridiron Queensland Competition, if you want to be involved please complete the enquiry form at the bottom of the page.
