Week 9 of Gridiron Victoria’s Senior Men’s 2016 Season is done and dusted, as the race to the playoffs gets more interesting with each game.
In Division 2, the undefeated Silverbacks continued their division domination with a 50 point thumping of Melton. The second placed Dragons took care of business in similar fashion with their win over a depleted Monash Barbarians outfit. And Northern Raiders squeaked by the Gladiators at home under lights.
In Division 1, the South Eastern Predators survived a big scare from the winless Miners. The Warriors flexed their muscle with a commanding win over Geelong. And the Melbourne Uni Royals and Croydon Rangers fought out the divison’s first tie of the year in a see-sawing encounter.
