Australia got off to the perfect start early on Friday morning Australian time with a huge win over South Korea 47-6
Australia and South Korea kicked off the 2015 IFAF World Championships as the opening game in Canton, Ohio but it was far from a good start for the Outback.
In the first quarter starting Outback quarterback Jared Stegman was intercepted twice one of which was returned for a South Korean touchdown as they took the lead 6-0. This was the only bad news for the Australian National Team as they went on to score 47 unanswered point to get the first victory of the championships.
Stegman turned his bad start around quickly to finish the game as the MVP, he was outstanding passing for 4 touchdowns and 150 yards he also ran for over 50 yards guiding Australia to the big victory.
Australia will play the winner of France vs. Brazil on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. local time (Monday 5:30am AEST)
Final Box Score: Australia 47, South Korea 6
