Gridiron Australia is currently seeking applications for coaches for the Australian National Womens Team to compete at the 2017 IFAF Women’s World Championship.

The first Women’s World Championships were held in 2010 with the USA defeating Canada in the Gold Medal match, it was a similar story when in 2013 at the second Women’s World Championships again the USA defeated Canada.

Australia has not entered into a Women’s World Championships but with NSW, ACT, QLD and VIC all running women’s competitions there is now more then enough participants to consider entering a team.

The Women’s World Championships have been held in Sweden (2010) and Finland (2013) at this stage IFAF have not announced where the 2017 tournament will be held.

Gridiron Australia is calling for applications from suitably qualified coaches for the positions of Head Coach, Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Coordinators and Positional Coaches. Coaches who are interested are asked to forward a copy of their application by 5pm, Sunday 2nd August 2015 to Matt Steel the Director of National Teams & Coaching.
