Un precedented times call for un precedented measures. After losing 2020 to the Pandemic and delaying 2021 by 3 months. We find the GV 2021 season will go ahead, albeit on January 15th 2022.

The Juniors are the life blood of the sport of American Football in this country. With more social media coverage and heavy promotion, this will be and has to be successful for the growth of the game.

The under 15’s have become under 16’s (mixed), which will see 4 teams play each other 3 times. The under 19’s look to help feed the senior ranks with 4 clubs fielding sides. The Casey Spartans have merged with the Predators for this season only while the Wolves are joining forces with the Buccaneers.

2021 Schedules
Predictions based on information available

South Eastern Predators – Great to see them back with a team in this competition. Former Crusaders under 19’s coach Brian Calloway should produce a competitive team, which sees the Casey Spartans join forces for this season. This should make them almost unstoppable.

Melbourne University Royals – A history of strong under 19’s teams after winning the last 2 Vic Bowls. Can they continue to pump out talent from this group? Apparently, they have good numbers and talent this year too.

Croydon Rangers – A number of Team Touchdown clients here. Could be the sleeper. Victorian Rep David Nilsson will QB the team. Could record a few more wins.

Geelong Buccaneers – Another club getting back together an under 19’s team. LB/RB/whatever he wants, Christian Barsic will be the x Factor. Most of the 2019 side will jump up to under 19’s.

Predictions based on information available

Croydon Rangers – Winners of the last 2 championships and coached by Joshua Faure, this club should continue its growth with young talent.

South Eastern Predators – Didn’t field a team in 2019 but the year before they were dominant. Hoping they can continue where they left off last time they took the field.

Geelong Buccaneers – Looked to be the better side in 2019 but beaten by the Rangers in the Championship game. Can’t wait to see what they have instore.

Western Crusaders – If you are reading this kids…don’t take it to heart. Actually, ignore it as it’s just a guess. I don’t have any information and I am sure you will go out there and have fun. The results will come.

Let’s get behind our juniors as they are the future of this great sport. Watch for Highlights Videos of the Under 19’s and Under 16’s during the season at http://www.facebook.com/OKPsports
