This weekend (Saturday 8th Apr) will see the Junior Australian Gridiron Leauge kick off in Runaway Bay in Queensland.

The 2017 edition of the Junior AGL will see Gridiron NSW, Gridiron Queensland, Gridiron SA and Gridiron West battle it out for the championship along with an All-Star team made up from Gridiron Tas and Gridiron ACT (As best we can guess).

Gridiron Victoria will not be taking part in the championships as their suspension by Gridiron Australia is still in place stemming from a disagreement about registration, insurance, financial transparency & future direction of the sport.

It is going to be a tough tournament for the teams with each state playing 4 games in 8 days but most teams will have to play games on back to back days.

With no finals scheduled the championship will be the team with the best record at the end of the tournament.

All the matches will be live streamed which you can check out here. Good Luck to all teams competing in 2017.
