Matt Leo signed a reserve/future contract

Matt Leo signed a reserve/future contract with Philadelphia on a 1 year, $750,000 contract with the Eagles on the 15th of Feb 2023.

Originally Leo joined the Eagles through the NFL International Player Pathway Program during the 2020 offseason. He spent the first two years of his career as a member of Philadelphia’s practice squad including the Eagles run to the Super Bowl.

Leo walk on at Arizona Western Community College under head coach Tom Minnick, who gave him a scholarship before the semester ended. After his time with Arizona Western he enrolled at Iowa State and saw action in 29 career games, totaling 33 tackles, 11.5 TFLs and 3.0 sacks over three seasons. He also was named to the First-Team Academic All-Big 12 in his final year in 2019.

The 31 year old from Adelaide will have his biggest challenge this pre-season when he will battle for a 53 man roster spot and hopefully become a contributing member of the active roster.

If Leo can make the 53 man roster he will join fellow Australians offensive tackle Jordan Mailata and punter Arryn Siposs.

Matt Leo signed a reserve/future contract.
